Ramen Hack 1.0

Ramen

Ingredients

  • Package of Ramen (any that require you to boil it)
  • Brown Sugar (1 spoonful)
  • Soy Sauce (1 spoonful)
  • Peanut Butter (1 spoonful)
  • Chili Paste (1 spoonful; I use Sambal Oelek)
  • Egg (sunny side up or over-easy)
  • Cooking oil spray or butter

Equipment

  • Small pot
  • Bowl
  • Spoon
  • Small Pan
  • Strainer

Recipe

  1. Bring small pot of water to a boil.
  2. As water boils, put brown sugar, soy sauce, peanut butter, and chili paste in bowl to be used for serving.
    • Also include the flavor packet contents in the bowl.
  3. Since water takes a long time to boil, grab your small pan and heat over medium-low heat.
  4. Once the pan is to temp, spray with cooking oil or use butter to lubricate pan.
  5. Crack egg into pan and cook to preferred cooking finish.
  6. Once water is boiling, boil ramen per package instructions.
  7. After ramen is cooked, strain BUT reserve a cup of the cooking liquid.
  8. Pour in the cooking liquid, enough to satisfy your broth desires.
  9. Mix all bowl contents.
  10. After broth is made, stir in the ramen.
  11. Top with egg.
