Cookbooks are still rather popular even when most people just run to Google to look up a quick recipe. However, a good cookbook with great recipes and tips is a tremendous help. It’s also a help to just have a book laid open instead of constantly unlocking a phone or tablet to look at a website. Plus, the constantly running and refreshing ads make the web page tough to keep locked down.
Here are a few cookbooks that one can find as a good start to one’s culinary library:
- Bake by Paul Hollywood

- An Unapologetic Cookbook by Joshua Weissman

- Kitchens of the Great Midwest by Jonathan Ryan Stradal
- Not a cookbook. Work of fiction that really nails how food brings people together and also includes some tasty recipes.

- Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain
- Also not a cookbook. Work of nonfiction that was a national bestseller that details how the restaurant business works. Includes some interesting tidbits and a chapter on some cooking basics that can be useful.

- Mi Cocina by Rick Martinez
- For those looking to attempt some authentic Mexican cuisine.
